At The Beach

Now that the rainy season has kicked in, we're learning to take every opportunity we can to get out of the house. So, when the rain stopped for a couple of hours, we headed to the beach.

Funny Faces

This is for all of you who like to pretend that I'm always an angel. Though I don't like to show it all of the time, I do have quite a wild side.

But then again, maybe I'm only wild when I wear blue. I just realized that I'm wearing blue in every one of these pictures. Maybe it's time I go back to being a pretty princess in pink.

Mommy's Birthday

Today was Mommy's birthday and we had so much fun. We woke up to Daddy's delicious pancakes. Then Daddy and I surprised Mommy with her birthday outfit. She loved it. By the time we were all dressed and ready for the day, I was already exhausted. So, I took a nice long nap. As soon as I woke up, we went out to lunch at Jethro's Fine Grub. We had to wait a little while in line, so Mommy read me a story.
It was soooo good. We saw it on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," and just had to try it.
Mommy and Daddy got pulled pork sandwiches and I got to try my first french fries. They are so salty and delicious.
I really like going out to eat. For some reason, everyone always stares at me and tries to talk to me. They always want me to wave and don't realize that I'm just learning how so I forget sometimes to wave back. When I don't know what to do, I revert to staring. I've always been good at that.

After lunch, we drove across town and across a big bridge to Stanley Park. The first thing I saw was a pile of leaves.
The leaves were nice and crispy, kind of like french fries, so I took a bite.
Not salty, and definitely not delicious!

Mommy packed me back in my stroller, wrapped me up tight in my favorite blanket with my favorite stuffed animal, Pappy.
We walked all around the park. It was beautiful!
We saw lots of geese, sailboats, zinnias
and across the bay was the big city.
After a little while, I wanted to get out of my stroller to get a closer look.
Actually, I just wanted to honk Daddy's nose. He sure fell for it.
We had so much fun. Happy Birthday Mommy!!!
